Every Monday morning different groupings of students meet together in the EBC chapel for general assembly. Classes or groups of teachers take turns in leading in worship in song, and reflections on the scriptures. It’s also a time for community building as we honour and encourage those who are excelling in different activities and competitions during the school year.
Co-curricular options are a part of the regular school day, and offer ECA students the chance to explore different interests and learn new skills. They are encouraged to opt for a different activity each term.
When the school day has ended the fun continues. We’ve put together a strong catalogue of extracurricular activities which appeal to different individuals and utilize different gifts, with the goal of exposing our students to as wide a range of pursuits as possible. It’s here that many of our students discover their aptitude for and hone their abilities in sports, or dance, or music - or all of the above!
We offer an after-care programme and a supervised homework centre to further help and nurture our children, and to accommodate our parents.
As our students hone their skills, our teams and ensembles offer them the chance to represent ECA and test themselves against their peers at other schools. They have excelled and are carving out a name for themselves nationally and internationally, bringing accolades to the school. We compete in inter-school sports competitions including football, netball, swimming, table tennis, track and gymnastics. We also enter the JCDC Festival competition each year in Speech and Music categories.
